The Babcock Journal of the Social Sciences (BJSS) is the flagship journal of the Veronica Adeleke School of Social Sciences at Babcock University, Nigeria. BJSS publishes peer-reviewed, original articles that make significant contributions to the intellectual remit of the social sciences broadly defined. The journal is published twice a year, and is currently in its 18th edition, having been published continuously since 2003. The BJSS, previously known as the Babcock Journal of Management and Social Sciences, will now be published online and open access in order to expand submission from, and dissemination to a global audience. BJSS remains committed to the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct in the management of the journal.

MISSION STATEMENT

To create an intellectual platform for promoting cutting-edge academic research in the social sciences, broadly defined, with emphasis on interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research that are theoretically sophisticated, methodologically rigorous and public interest-focused and solutions-based. The overarching objective is to contribute qualitatively to intellectual debates, national discourse, public policy, national development, and global progress for all humanity.
