Abstract

Starting on the premise that the forces of globalisation can neither be ignored nor altered, this aper explores the phenomenal roles of non-state actors (NSAs) in influencing global politics. It identifies integration of the activities of NSAs into the system, and how the shaping of the process and capabilities to benefit from globalisation are tied toi the structure of power in the international relations. It spells out indispensability of the NSAs, especially in the areas of being implementing partners for international organisations, as well as vital agents for opinion building in international forum, and active involvement in a number of multifaceted processes that complicates or mitigates relations among states.
