Abstract
The paper examined the effect of industrialisation on child health over a period of 28 years (1990 – 2017). The study was anchored on the DTT, which postulates that different levels of industrialisation in a society is accompanied by variations in birth and death rate. Results showed that progress in industrialisation is accompanied by increased child mortality. Consequently, the paper recommended a diversification of the industrial sector in Nigeria, with genuine programme thrust for the development of health infrastructure and the implementation of relevant policies aimed at mitigating the negative consequences of industrialisation on child health.
