Abstract

Paper examined Knowledge Management Practices and Job Satisfaction Outcomes of Administrative Staff in The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ogun State, Nigeria. A cross-sectional survey design was adopted in studying a subset of population. The population for this study consists of four hundred and sixty (460) administrative staff. The sample size for this study is two hundred and ten (210) administrative staff derived from Krejcie and Morgan sample size determination table. This study employed stratified random sampling. A structured questionnaire was used as the instrument of data collection. The construct and face validity were done by giving the instrument to experts in the field of knowledge management. The descriptive and inferential analysis were conducted using SPSS version 24.0 which revealed that at 95% confidence level, knowledge management practice (β = 0.658, t= 13.437) is significant. Study concluded that knowledge management practices influence job satisfaction outcomes of administrative staff. It was recommended that management of the Polytechnic should prioritize knowledge transfer and knowledge utilization among administrative staff in the polytechnic for continued optimal administrative staff job satisfaction outcomes among others.
