Abstract
As a modest contribution to bridge the observed gap in empirical studies, this paper adopted the methodology of Engle-Granger dynamic econometric cointegration to analyse the impact of Public expenditure, social community expenditure, government policies and strategies; and the application of modern technology on the gross domestic product of Education and Health sectors of Nigeria from 1981 to 2018. The findings showed that the gross domestic product of education and health are strongly and positively related to public expenditure on education and health; expenditure for social community service; government policies and strategies for education and health; and the application of modern technology in the education and health sectors, respectively. The results were consistent with the a priori expectations. In essence, the Federal Government’s involvement in educational and health funding had shown a robust outcomes established from the fiscal and policy strategies stand points within the period under consideration.
